There are three insights from today's topic of accelerating China's modernisation journey ahead. First, China's 14th Five-Year Plan represents a comprehensive approach to the development of economy, society and environment, rather than an independent policy. Such an integrated development plan lays the basis for modernized high-quality development. Second, a well-defined road map is required for achieving near zero emissions, in order to gradually head toward the 2030 and 2060 targets. Third, China's opening up means a shift in development mode, which requires a higher level of opening up with strengthened "dual circulation" development pattern.
