Yang Yujun

Sr. Col. (Rtd) YANG Yujun is the Dean and senior research fellow of Academy of Media and Public Affairs, Director of Center for Global Communication and Governance, Visiting Professor of School of Executive Education and Professional Training, Communication University of China. He had a military career for 25 years and served various positions including Deputy and then Director-General of Information Office, Ministry of National Defense. He had assumed the office of spokesperson of Ministry of National Defense from April 2010 to August 2017.  After retirement from the military, he started academic research and teaching on Media and Public Affairs, Public Policy Communication, Public Credibility Construction and Public Diplomacy.  He is also the visiting scholar of Peking University, PLA National University of Defense Technology, Hangzhou Normal University and Committee for Defense Education, etc.
