Ning Gaoning

Chairman, Sinochem Group Business Circle

Mr. Ning was appointed Chairman of Sinochem Group in December 2015. He was appointed Chairman of China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina) in June 2018.

Prior to his current post, Mr. Ning was President of China Resources Enterprise Limited, Vice Chairman and President of China Resources (Holdings) Co., Ltd., and Chairman of China Oil & Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO). At present, Mr. Ning also serves as Chairman of several listed companies under Sinochem Group, including Far East Horizon Limited, China Jinmao Holdings Group Limited, Sinochem Hong Kong (Group) Co., Ltd.

Mr. Ning is a member of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the CPC elected at the 18th CPC National Congress, a standing committee member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, a member of the “13th Five-Year Plan” National Development Planning Expert Panel, Chair of Sustainable Development Working Group on APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), Chair of APEC China Business Council, and Executive Director of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). He was awarded CCTV China Economic Person of the Year for 3 times, China’s Annual Top 25 Most Influential Business Leader Awards by China Entrepreneur for 10 consecutive years, China's Most Influential Business Leaders by Fortune, Asia Business Leader Awards by CNBC, and Asian Corporate Director by Corporate Governance Asia.

Mr. Ning earned his MBA degree from Business School of University of Pittsburgh in the United States. He is a certified senior international business engineer.
