CDF Voice: VW Chairman Herbert Diess --VW to Invest Over 4 Billion Euros in 2019

Volkswagen Audi Group (VW) has established its business relations with China as early as in 1978. In 2000, VW delegates attended the 1st CDF. With the expansion of its business, VW delegates were present at CDFs and met with Chinese leaders for many times. And in the past forty years of China’s Reform and Opening Up, VW witnessed and experienced the ups and downs of the swiftly developing Chinese auto industry.

Herbert Diess, Chairman of the Board of Management, Volkswagen AG, has faith in “Made in China 2025”, a development goal of the Chinese government, and is determined to explore core technologies with China. He mentions that VW will invest more than 4 billion euros in innovative technologies in 2019 and plan to introduce more than 30 new NEV models in China in the next two years.
