With its four brands BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad, the BMW Group is the world’s leading premium manufacturer of automobiles and motorcycles and also provides premium financial and mobility services. As a global company, the BMW Group production network comprised of 31 production and assembly facilities in 14 countries and has a global sales network in more than 140 countries.

The establishment of the BMW AG Beijing Representative Office in April 1994 marked the official entry of the BMW Group in Mainland China. Over the past two decades, the BMW Group has developed successfully in China, with a dealer network of more than 600 outlets and a cumulative sales volume of over 4 million BMW and MINI vehicles. Facing the future, the BMW Group will continue to implement the “2+4” strategic approaches in China, taking the two joint ventures of BMW Brilliance and Spotlight Automotive Limited as the business pillar to develop the BMW and MINI brands, and working in A.C.E.S. (Automated, Connected, Electrified and Shared/Services) as the innovative direction to embrace greater success.

The BMW Group has established new R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenyang, comprising the second largest R&D system of the BMW Group in the world outside Germany. The Beijing R&D center specifically focuses on vehicle testing and homologation; Shanghai is working on the research and development of the connectivity and autonomous driving; Shenyang is focusing on the development of new energy technologies and product development.
