Neil Shen is Founding and Managing Partner of Sequoia China. He is also Co-Founder of Ctrip.com (NASDAQ: CTRP) and Homeinns Hotel Group (NASDAQ: HMUN).

Neil Shen has been honored with top awards in China and over the globe. He was the highest ranking Chinese investor on Forbes Midas List for the year from 2012 to 2017, and also listed in the "100 Greatest Living Business Minds" by Forbes. In addition, he was amongst "50 Most Influential Business Leaders in China" and "30 Most Influential Investors in China" by Fortune for the year from 2015 to 2017, and "Top 20 Venture Capitalists Worldwide" by New York Times and CB Insights in 2017.

Neil Shen is a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and also serves on a number of philanthropic and public sectors and industry associations, including as Chairman of Yale Center Beijing Executive Council, Director of Yabuli China Entrepreneur Forum (CEF), Vice Chairman of the VC Funds Committee of Asset Management Association of China, Co-Chair of UNDP SDG Impact Finance (UNSIF) High-Level Advisory Board (HLAB), Governor of Our Hong Kong Foundation, Member of Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council, Trustee of Brookings Institution, Trustee of Asia Society, Council Member of Future Forum, and Trustee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

He received his Master's degree from Yale University and Bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
