The following is the full speech.
Hello, I'm Wolf-Henning Scheider from ZF.
With a difficult start, 2020 is destined to be a memorable year. The outbreak of the coronavirus has brought new challenges for all of us.
At ZF, we have witnessed how our teams in China have come together to fight the epidemic with commendable discipline and in a joint effort.
We were deeply impressed by their resolute actions, as well as the bold efforts on behalf of the public health authorities - and society in general - to prevent further spread of the disease.
At ZF, we have donated 4 million yuan in kind and established our own face mask production line to support prevention and control of the epidemic – not just for our employees but for donations to the local communities.
I would like to express my sincere respect to all of our associates in China, as well as all citizens.
ZF has been active in China for about 40 years. We are well established in the market and see the Chinese citizens as members of our global family, and the country as our home.
We uphold our "in China, for China" strategy as we weather the challenges together with you.
We have taken all necessary measures to mitigate supply chain difficulties and staff shortages in strict compliance with government requirements to protect the health of our employees and prevent infection. Currently, more than 30 plants across the country have gradually resumed production, minimizing the impact of the outbreak on our customers, suppliers and partners.
Moving forward, we remain fully committed to China. Short-term challenges will not shatter our determination to be a part of the economic and social fabric of this great country.
I am confident that together, we will overcome current and future challenges and witness a bright future.
Finally, we look forward to meeting and discussing with you the key topics of China's future economic development trends at the China Development Forum.
I wish you all health and success! Thank you.
