Frank Mars is the co-owner of Mars, Incorporated, a Mars Family member, and currently also plays the role of Vice President of Mars Sustainable Solutions. From 2005 through 2017, he was the Global President of Mars Sustainable Solutions, an internal technology-based health and life sciences venture tasked with developing and commercializing new products and services supported by evidence-based science.
Over his 29 years within Mars, Incorporated, Frank has held a variety of senior positions within the Electronics, Snack Food, Pet Care and Food segments across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Mr. Mars is also a Co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Heliae® Development, an applied life sciences and technology company focused on developing commercial scale microalgae production platforms for enhancing soil health and agricultural crop resilience.Frank earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Yale University in 1985 and his MBA in 1990 from Duke University (Fuqua School of Business). He is also an IUCN Patron of Nature member.
