Having started its first business agency in Shanghai in 1933, Evonik has been committed to grow its business with China ever since. In the early 1990s, Evonik began manufacturing specialty chemicals in China. Later on, Evonik began to do R&D in China and now its Shanghai R&D Center plays a key role in Evonik’s global R&D strategy.
