CDF Voice: Prudential plc Group Chief Executive Mike Wells-- China’s Exciting Development Journey Has Barely Begun
Prudential was founded in London in 1848. In 2000, Prudential began its business in China, just after the establishment of CDF. The first China-UK insurance joint venture was CITIC-Prudential, cofounded by Prudential and China International Trust and Investment Corporation (CITIC).
At present, CITIC-Prudential has operations in 87 cities in China and serves more than 1.3 million Chinese customers. Mike Wells, Chief Executive of Prudential plc Group, states that China is at the heart of Prudential’s global strategy. “Prudential is ready to do more to invest in the real economy, in important long term projects such as Belt and Road infrastructure initiatives.”
CDF Voice is a new media program sponsored by China Development and Research Foundation (CDRF). We provide a platform for CDF delegates from different countries, fields and industries to have their voices heard.
