Royal Philips has always been having strong ties with China. The bonds date back to the Qing Dynasty, when Philips’ X-ray system made it into the Forbidden City. Today, with business extended to more than 600 cities and boasting more than 8000 employees in China, Philips recognizes China as its second home market.

Frans van Houten, CEO of Royal Philips, believed “China has long been a strategically important market for Philips”. He observed that Philips will continue investing in and collaborating with China “to help make the world healthier and more sustainable – in China, for China, and with China”.
