On July 13, 1956, construction of China's first automotive production base was completed. Known at that time as First Automotive Works (FAW) and now as FAW Group Co., Ltd.. Now, there are 150 thousand registered employees and five main production bases in Changchun, Tianjin, Chengdu, Qingdao and Foshan. FAW takes actively participate in building the Belt and Road, which authorizes 16 KD factories and operates in 49 countries. The proportion of KD exceed 60%, FAW has exported cars over 40 thousand in 2018. FAW has car brand “Hong Qi”, “Jie Fang” and “Ben Teng”, builds joint ventures with  Volkswagen, Audi, Toyota and Mazda, which product and sale above-mentioned brands cars. In 2018, the FAW has sold 3 million 410 thousand cars, reached 2% year-on-year growth, ranged number 3 in Chinese automobile companies. FAW achieved operating income of 593 billion 700 thousand yuan and profit of 43 billion 50 million yuan, reached 125th of the top 500 enterprises.
