Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc., the key member of Tokio Marine Group which owns 245 subsidiaries and 32 affiliates located worldwide, is the first public listed insurance conglomerate of both general and life insurance in Japan, and is ranked 209th of the world's top 500 companies in 2018.


Tokio Marine & Fire Insurance Co., Ltd, now known as Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd (TMNF), is the flagship of the Tokio Marine Group. Founded in 1879, TMNF is the oldest general insurance company in Japan, the first approved representative office (in 1980) of all foreign insurers as well as the pioneer Japanese insurer to establish business operations (in 1994) in China. Now TMNF has one representative office in Beijing, and one independent subsidiary in Shanghai with branch offices in Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Beijing and Zhejiang.


Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc. mainly focuses on the management of its general insurers, life insurers and overseas subsidiaries under the Group as well as other related businesses.
