Bombardier Transportation is a global mobility solution provider leading the way with the rail industry’s broadest portfolio. It covers the full spectrum of solutions, ranging from trains to sub-systems and signalling to complete turnkey transport systems, e-mobility technology and data-driven maintenance services.


As one of the world’s largest rail equipment manufacturers, Bombardier Transportation has been paying great attention to getting actively involved in China’s development for urban mass transit and advanced railway networks. It commits to transfer to China its world-class technology and advanced management philosophy. To date, Bombardier Chinese joint ventures have delivered more than 4,000 railway passenger cars, 580 electric locomotives and over 2,500 metro cars, Monorail, APM (Automated People Mover), and trams to China’s growing rail industry. Through its joint ventures, Bombardier also provides propulsion and signaling systems to third party metro car builders for use in more than 30 Chinese cities.


In the field of aerospace, Bombardier Aerospace designs, manufactures and supports innovative aviation products for the business, commercial, specialized and amphibious aircraft markets. As of the end of 2018, over 135 Bombardier business jets are currently in service in Greater China, taking up one third of the market share. Around 40 Bombardier commercial aircraft are in operation in China.


With seven joint ventures and seven Wholly Foreign Owned Enterprises (WFOE), Bombardier currently employs more than 7,000 people in China. It has offices located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
