Yuri Milner

Yuri founded Mail.ru Group in 1999 and under his leadership it became one of Europe’s leading internet companies. He took the business public on the London Stock Exchange in 2010 and founded DST Global to focus on global internet investments. DST Global became one of the world’s leading technology investors and its portfolio has included companies such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Airbnb, Spotify, Alibaba, JD, Didi, Xiaomi and others. DST Global has assets under management in excess of US$10 billion.

Yuri graduated in 1985 with an advanced degree in theoretical physics and subsequently conducted research in quantum field theory. Yuri attended the MBA program at Wharton business school 1990-92 and he was the keynote speaker at the 2017 Wharton Graduation event. Yuri, together with Sergey Brin, Mark Zuckerberg and Pony Ma sponsor the Breakthrough. Prizes - the world’s largest scientific awards, honoring important, primarily recent, achievements in Fundamental Physics, Life Sciences and Mathematics.

Yuri lives with his wife Julia and their three daughters in Silicon Valley.
