Joe Kaeser

President & CEO, Siemens AG Business Circle

Joe Kaeser was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens AG in August 2013.

Mr. Kaeser began his career with Siemens AG in 1980. Since then he has held a series of leadership positions in Siemens AG, most recently as Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to this, Mr. Kaeser served as Chief Strategy Officer of Siemens AG; Member of the Group Executive Management of the Information and Communication Mobile Group; Siemens AG, Corporate Finance, Accounting Unit, Controlling and Taxes; Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in Siemens Microelectronics Inc. (San José, CA, USA).

In prior leadership roles, Mr. Kaeser served as Head of Business Administration in Opto Semiconductors Division and Discrete Semiconductors Division of Siemens AG, Semiconductors Group; Head of Business Administration Projects in Siemens Semiconductors, Malacca, Malaysia; Head of Accounting & Product Planning, Finance Director and Head of Business Administration in Siemens AG, Components Group.

Mr. Kaeser serves on the supervisory board of Allianz Deutschland AG (Munich), Daimler AG (Stuttgart) and holds position outside Germany in NXP Semiconductors B.V. (Netherlands).

He studied in business administration and holds the Dipl.-Betriebswirt.
