Heinrich Hiesinger

Born 1960, studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, graduated (Dipl.-Ing.) in 1986, gained doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in 1991.

From 1992 until 2000 he held various positions in various countries in the Power Transmission and Distribution Group of Siemens. In 2000 he became President of the Power Transmission and Distribution Group and in 2003 President and CEO of Siemens Building Technologies AG, Zug/Switzerland.

In 2007 he was appointed Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. In 2008 he was additionally appointed CEO of the Industry Sector of Siemens and head of the central department Corporate Information Technology.

From October 2010 to January 2011 Dr.-Ing. Hiesinger was Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG. With effect from the close of the General Stockholders' Meeting on January 21, 2011, Dr.-Ing. Hiesinger is Chairman of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG.

Dr.-Ing. Hiesinger is responsible for Corporate Functions of Internal Strategy, Markets & Development, Technology, Innovation & Sustainability, Auditing, Communications and for the regions Asia Pacific and China.
