Christian Kullmann

Chairman & CEO, Evonik Industries AG Business Circle

Mr. Kullmann was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on March 14, 1969. He received a master’s degree in economic history from the Hanover University in 1994. During the same year, Mr. Kullmann joined Deutsche Vermögensberatung AG in Frankfurt am Main. From 1996 to 2003, he worked for Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt am Main and served as Head of Public Relations/Public Affairs at the Corporate Center of Dresdner Bank in 2000. In 2003, Mr. Kullmann became Head of Communications & Board Office of RAG Aktiengesellschaft (predecessor of Evonik Industries AG) in Essen. In 2013, he was appointed as Executive Vice President and Head of General Secretariat of Evonik Industries AG. During 2014 to 2016, he was Member of the Executive Board responsible for Strategy and M&A of Evonik Industries AG. He has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board in 2016 and since May 24, 2017, Chairman of the Executive Board of Evonik Industries AG.
