The International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development (WWW.ICTSD.ORG ) is an independent think tank working to advance sustainable development through better trade- and investment-related policy frameworks. ICTSD is the convener of the E15initiative, co-implemented with the World Economic Forum. The Centre is the Publisher of BRIDGES and its sister periodicals in Latin America, Russia and CIS states, Francophone and Anglophone Africa, and China (Qiao).
ICTSD convenes policy actors and influencers globally and regionally, supporting them with evidence-based analysis and appropriate expertise to empower them to better understand their own interests, build bridges to others, and advance mutually acceptable solutions. ICTSD’s vision is a sustainable world, supported by national, regional, and international trade and investment policy and frameworks that promote inter-generational equity.
Founded in 1996, and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, ICTSD works globally through extensive partnerships and co-implementation strategies engaging participants from the policy-making, influencer, and business communities to advance practical solutions to some of the world’s most difficult challenges. The ICTSD has operated its China Office in Beijing since 2011.
