“China Development Forum 2004” was successfully held at Beijing on March 21-22. The theme was “China: toward a balanced development”, which received widely well-thought-of by domestic and foreign delegates. During the forum, delegates carried out in-depth discussions and research upon five issues: Changing Sources of Economic Growth in China, Promoting Seamless Development of External and Domestic Markets, Rational Utilization of Resources, Construction and Improvement of the Public Health System, Construction of the Banking System and Risk Transfer. Most of them reckoned that, China has always remained clearly aware of what challenges she is facing currently, and is endeavoring to adopt scientific and rational development strategies; and further expressed they believe that the Chinese government is able to solve all those problems in the future.
