The China Development Forum, sponsored by the Development Research Center of the State Council since 2000, is aimed at establishing new channels of dialogue and communication for entrepreneurs, scholars, and government officials at home and abroad. The Forum is designed to “hear the voice of the world and explore the path for China’s development,” and under this principle, the China Development Forum 2010 was held on March 21st-22nd at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, Beijing.
The theme of this year’s Forum was “China and the World Economy: Growth, Restructuring, and Cooperation.” Discussions at the Forum focused on a wide range of topics including enhancing and accelerating the transformation of China’s growth pattern, international trade and economic restructuring, the impact of proactive fiscal policies and future developments, the globalization of Chinese corporations, actions against Climate Change, and strengthening global cooperation. The diversity and richness of the discussions has aroused great attention on the Forum and exerted huge public response.
