RAND Corporation

The RAND Corporation is a nonprofit institution whose mission is to improve policy and decisionmaking through research and analysis. Our research is supported by a global clientele that includes government agencies, foundations, other nonprofit organizations, and private-sector firms. RAND's North American locations include Santa Monica, California, the home of its headquarters campus and the Pardee RAND Graduate School; Washington, D.C.; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; New Orleans, Louisiana; Boston, Massachusetts; and the San Francisco Bay Area, home to our newest office. RAND Europe is located in Cambridge, UK, and Brussels, Belgium; RAND Australia is located in Canberra. Approximately 1,800 people from more than 50 countries work at RAND, representing diversity in work experience, academic training, political and ideological outlook, and race, gender, and ethnicity. Hailing from academia, government, and business, RAND researchers combine theory with real-world experience.  RAND disseminates its research findings as widely as possible to benefit the public good: RAND’s growing digital library—23,000 and counting—offers reports, podcasts, videos, commentary, and more—which can be read or downloaded at www.rand.org
